Boy raced to hospital after being hit by car in horror Scots road crash

A child has been rushed to hospital by ambulance after being hit by a car on a Scots road.

An emergency crew was sent to the scene at around 2pm today after the child was hurt on Enterprise Way in Dunfermline, Fife.

The 13-year-old boy was rushed to hospital in Edinburgh.

The child's condition is not known at this time.

A spokesman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 1.57pm hours today to attend an incident on the A823.

"We dispatched one ambulance to the scene and transported one child patient to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children.”

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report shortly after 2pm on Monday, 8 March of a 13-year-old male pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle at Enterprise Way in Dunfermline.

"He has been taken to hospital for treatment and enquiries are ongoing."
