Boy hoping to look like hero Phil Foden gutted after his hair dye job left him looking 'more like Phillip Schofield'

Footballer Phil Foden was the talk of the town at the Euros after his dramatic hair makeover.

The Manchester City star showed up to international duty with a new bleach blonde trim similar to that of former player Paul Gascoigne circa Euro 96.

And as the Three Lions progressed through the competition and win was within their grasp, many fans were vowing to copy his look if they won.

While sadly they lost in Sunday's final to Italy, it was too late for some who had already reached for the hair dye.

This included a ten-year-old boy who was hoping to look like Foden, his football hero, but was gutted after his hair dye job left him looking "more like Phillip Schofield".

Harry Reidy used to have long locks more reminiscent of Jack Grealish - and even pulled them back with a hairband to look like the England and Aston Villa footballer.

But after he heard Foden say the England squad would all dye their hair blonde if they win the European Championship, Harry decided to get on board himself.

With the help of mum Kellie, 42, a postman, he lopped off his locks and attempted to dye it peroxide blonde, last Friday.

Unfortunately, it came out grey, and the Tottenham supporter schoolboy's family joked he looked more like This Morning presenter - and TV's very own silver fox - Phillip Schofield.

Kellie from Coventry, Warwickshire, said: "It was so funny!

"We were like, ‘you actually look like Phillip Schofield'.

"I don’t think Harry even knows who Phillip is. We just couldn’t stop laughing."
