Boy George's sharp response to Lorraine Kelly's 'tantrum' remark about his time on I'm a Celeb

Boy George has entertained the nation during his stint in this year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here. And his quips and personality have continued to shine through as he responds to some of the comments made about him during his jungle stay.

Despite protests by some fans and I'm a Celeb host Ant Partlin, The Culture Club star became the fourth campmate to be eliminated from the ITV reality show. On Monday night's instalment he followed in the footsteps of Loose Women's Charlene White, A Place In The Sun host Scarlette Douglas, and Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver. He has since been joined by comedian Babatunde Aleshe.

Much has been written about the celebs during their time on the show and as Boy George caught up with the news from his swanky JW Marriott Resort & Spa on the Gold Coast, he hit back at some of the remarks.

Returning to the hotel, reportedly to a rapturous round of applause from his former jungle mates, he soon shared a picture of himself with a plate of pizza. On Twitter on Tuesday, November 23, he wrote: "Eating pizza and watching #FIFAWorldCup replay after a lovely long shower. Thanks for all the amazing messages. The love always transcends the negativity.” The singer also said he had “laughed heartily” after reading news stories about his time on the reality show.

He added: "This ***** still gives great headline. I have seen them all and laughed heartily! #ImACelebrityGetMeOutOfHere." Taking whole heartedly to social media, Boy George has posted various messages including one spotted by Manchester Evening News responding to Lorraine Kelly comments about George's reported 'tantrums'.

In the video, which was shared to Twitter on Monday, Lorraine said to an ITV entertainment correspondent on her show: "Boy George, now what's going on there? He keeps saying, 'I speak my mind, I speak my mind' but he's always sort of doing hushed asides. But he did have a wee bit of a tantrum... not a tantrum, it was just a... I don't know what you would call it."

The Scottish TV presenter then referenced the rumour that Boy George had a bit of a strop after not being allowed to travel back to camp in a golf buggy from the trial clearing area. Commenting on the rumour, Lorraine said: "Does he even watch this show? You don't get golf buggies George! For goodness sake, the cameras are everywhere. There is absolutely no hiding place."

She then added: "I think the thing with George is not that many people tell him no. I'm very fond of him but there's that as well!" But responding the clip, George typed in a reply: "Yes my darling Lorraine I bet you walk everywhere and do your own make-up? Lol!"
