Boy George mocked for wearing enormous view-blocking hat at An Audience with Adele

Boy George was teased for wearing a massive view-blocking hat after being spotted on An Audience With Adele.

The Culture Club icon was ribbed online as viewers said they were glad they weren't sitting behind him at the Palladium.

The singer, 60, was sporting a large blue hat and a black jacket with huge pink spots. Boy George, real name George Alan O'Dowd, was spotted at the intimate ITV gig singing along to the music megastar and clearly hoping to stand out from the crowd.

But there was plenty of sympathy for those around him as Adele cemented her comeback in front of fans, friends and famous faces on ITV last night.

George was mocked on Twitter for his enormous hat, which stayed on throughout the lengthy performance.

One wrote: "Which unfortunate ’A’ lister is sat behind Boy George with that bleeding’ hat #AnAudienceWithAdele #restrictedview."

Another stated: "You wouldn’t want to be sitting behind Boy George with that huge hat on #AnAudienceWithAdele".

A third said: "I'd be fuming if Boy George was sat right in front of me with that hat."

Not everyone loved his head-wear but most fans couldn't get enough of Emma Thompson's dance moves.

The Cruella and Harry Potter actress looked as if she was having the time of her life as she really let it go to Adele's incredible voice, swinging her arms in the air and generally having the time of her life.

Viewers were quick to comment on Twitter that her dancing was a "highlight" of the show.

One commented: "Not sure at this point if it’s an audience with Adele or an audience with Emma Thompson #AnAudienceWithAdele"

A second said: "Emma Thompson is giving me LIFE with her dancing".

Adele had just as good a time as the actress.

She tweeted straight after the show went out: "Home Sweet Home. I’ve always dreamt of doing An Audience With… There was so much love in the room for each other, it felt like such a gig!

"Everyone was raucous and bang up for it! And my teacher Ms McDonald was there, it was just heaven."
