Boy George accuses British Airways of 'leaving everyone waiting for Victoria Beckham'

Boy George has slammed British Airways, claiming they left him waiting in first class so Victoria Beckham could depart the plane first.

The Culture Club singer, 61, expressed his frustration on Twitter, saying: "Nice touch for @britishairways to leave everyone in first class waiting for steps while Victoria Beckham’s car picks her up at the aircraft. Proper going to avoid flying BA for a while!"

The 80s star didn't give any further information about the flight, but it is believed to have landed in London where Culture Club are due to perform on Friday.

Despite his disappointment, the singer appeared to calm down as he later tweeted: "Myself and @britishairways are back in love. Now I know it costs 6,000 to get off the plane before everyone else.

"Also, my current remit is to be more friendly, human and have more patience. Lol! Wish me luck. I also forgot to say how lovely my flight was!"

He then added: "I'm an impulse tweeter but I get over it faster than most!"

But fans wouldn't let his comment rest, with the singer, real name George O'Dowd insisting: "Victoria is innocent! Lol!"

The Mirror has contacted reps for Victoria Beckham and British Airways.

It's not the first time Boy George has had a run in with the artist formerly known as Posh Spice.

He told KIIS 1065’s Kyle and Jackie O the singer had refused to sign an autograph for him in 2018.

Recalling the incident, he said: "I nabbed her at a radio station and said will you write something funny on this for me and she wouldn’t write what I asked her to write, but she wrote, “To the b***h, f**k off!”’

Boy George also refused to let an act on talent show The Voice perform a Spice Girls song.

"The Spice Girls are awful. I hate them. They’ve just got nothing to say.

"Girl power. Yeah, and what the f**k is girl power? F**k the Spice Girls.

"They are a cynical corporate creation and proof that a good stylist is more important than a good melody."

Boy George is the lead singer of 80s band Culture Club, whose tracks include Chama Chameleon and Do You Really Want to Hurt Me.

He also carved out a successful solo career with hits such as Keep Me in Mind and Everything I Own.
