Boy feared washed away

A six-year-old boy is feared washed away in the Krishna near Shirol village in Vijayapura district on Sunday.

Rizwan Allabaksh Taraghar of Mehboob Nagar near Muddebihal had gone to the Chimmalagi Lift Irrigation Scheme canal to wash clothes.

The boy entered the canal, while his father was busy washing clothes.

The boy’s father was not aware of this for a few minutes.

Later, he noticed that the boy was missing.

He then searched around and called his neighbours for help. They informed the police. A search did not yield any result. It is assumed that the boy was washed away.

A case has been registered.
