Police are investigating the death of a boy who was trapped by a motorised garage door in Melbourne's south-west.
Emergency services were called to an apartment block in Mason Street at Altona North about 7:30pm on Saturday.
Two children were trapped by a garage door at the building.
Paramedics worked on a nine-year-old boy but he died at the scene.
The other boy, 12, from Keilor Downs, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
It is believed the boys were playing in the driveway of the building, but police have not yet released details of what occurred.
Victoria Police said the incident was not being treated as suspicious and local detectives would prepare a report for the coroner.
