A six-year-old boy has died after being hit by a car in Sydney's west.
The boy suffered critical injuries when he was struck on Richmond Road at Doonside about 12.40pm on Friday.
Paramedics treated the child at the scene before taking him to Westmead Children's Hospital, where he later died.
The male driver is assisting police while crash investigators examine the scene.
