A boy has been left shaken after being chased by a man whilst on his way to school this morning.
At around 8.20am on Thursday October 7 police received reports of a man acting suspiciously on Norwood Road in Southport.
It has been reported that a man chased a boy down the road while the boy was on his way to school.

The man is described as white, in his 30s, around 6ft 4in tall with a large build and dark hair. He is said to have been wearing a checked shirt and dark blue jeans.
The boy was uninjured but left shaken after being chased.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson told the ECHO: "At around 8.20am this morning (Thursday 7 October), we received a report of a man acting suspiciously on Norwood Road, Southport.
"It was reported that a man chased a boy down the road while the boy was on his way to school.
"The man was described as white male, aged in his 30s, around 6ft 4in tall, of large build, with dark hair wearing a checked shirt and dark blue jeans.
"The boy was uninjured but left shaken by the incident.
"Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and patrols have been stepped up in the area.
"Anyone with any information is asked to contact police."
