A mum was left in hysterics when her son butchered his hair with a pair of children's scissors after he decided he looked too much like Boris Johnson.
Melanie Henry, from Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland, left five-year-old son, Angus, to play while she took a work call.
The 32-year-old returned to find he'd chopped off his blonde locks with a pair of children's scissors.
Melanie, a teacher, has been working from home as well as keeping an eye on Angus and his siblings, Struan, nine, and Piper, four.
After friends and family pointed out Angus' resemblance to the Prime Minister, the schoolboy decided to take matters into his own hands.
She said: "I was on a work call when and when I came off he had cut his hair so all the fringe was gone.

"I just asked him what had happened and he said he did it because I'd said that the salons were shut and he didn't want to wait for a hair cut.
"I was just so shocked at what he'd done, he'd used a pair of the primary school scissors.
"Because of how his hair looked last lockdown, he just didn't want people saying he looked like Boris Johnson again.
"We did see the funny side of it."
Melanie tried to salvage the situation by shaving off the rest of Angus' hair and luckily, the tot loves his new hairdo.
The mum-of-three said: "I had to give him a skinhead and he's never had his hair that short before but he likes it thankfully.
"I'm working from home and the crowd control can be quite tricky.
"I was only on the phone for about 15 minutes.
"It has been months since they've had a haircut and I haven't been giving the kids lockdown haircuts, we've been waiting for the salons to reopen.
"The salon we usually go to thought his Boris haircut was hilarious.
"Angus did think cutting his own hair was funny, we all saw the funny side.
"He was just glad he was finally getting a haircut."
