Sydney’s Northern Beaches indie quintet are taking their latest album, Limit of Love, around the nation. The boys were well rehearsed after an intensive 170 shows across three continents in 2014, and the album was recorded live with little to no overdubs, and released in 2015.
Boy & Bear have had a busy run since they won triple j’s unearthed competition in 2009. They have produced three albums, won an Apra award for breakthrough songwriter of the year in 2012, and four Arias for their 2011 album Moonfire. While 2013 album Harlequin Dream debuted at number one on the Aria charts, with its part-Bruce Springsteen, part-Fleetwood Mac poppy tunes, the 2015 album provides a crisper, less rustic sound.
