A boy has been airlifted to hospital after falling from the roof of a multi-storey car park in Portsmouth.
Police cordoned off the area after the boy was discovered by a passerby just after 8am today.
Portsmouth News reported the boy is 12 to 13 years old and had suffered life-threatening injuries.
A woman told the news site that her sister, a nurse, found the boy as she walked to work.
She said: "She saw something was wrong and went to help - she’s a real good Samaritan.
"She said he’s in a critical condition and has been taken by air ambulance to hospital."
In a statement a Hampshire Constabulary spokeswoman said the incident was not being treated as suspicious.
“We were called at 8.10am this morning (12 June) to a report that a teenage boy had fallen from the roof of the NCP car park in Crasswell St, Portsmouth,” she said.
“He has been airlifted to Southampton General Hospital. His next of kin is aware.
“We have no further details on his condition at this time.”
