Boy aged 15 seriously injured after being knocked down in West Lothian

A teenager has been seriously injured after he was hit by a car on a road in West Lothian on Sunday night.

Emergency services were called out to Station Road in Armadale at 9.40pm, with the road closed off for six hours.

The 15-year-old boy was hit by a blue Audi A3 which was heading south. He was rushed to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary by ambulance.

Police are now appealing for anyone with dashcam footage of the road to get in touch.

Sergeant Jill Kirkpatrick said: "A teenager has been seriously injured as a result of this road traffic collision and we are looking for the public’s help to establish exactly what happened.

"I would urge anyone who was in the area at the time or anyone who was driving on the road with dashcam footage to please get in contact with police."
