A nine-year-old boy has died after being found unresponsive in the shower by his grandad.
Emergency services rushed to the scene of the suspected drowning after the boy had gone for shower.
The distraught relative pulled the youngster from the tub at a property in Houston, Texas, and started performing CPR.
The boy was rushed to hospital, Texas Medical Center, but sadly died, officers said.
K. Anthony Miller, of the Houston Police Department, said the boy, nine, was found unresponsive in the bathtub.
The boy's cause of death hasn't been released as investigations continue.
The tragic news has left many people offering their condolences to the boy's family on social media.
Police also revealed that two other kids were at home at the time of the boy's death.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention revealed that more kids between the ages of one and four have died from drowning in the US compared to any other causes apart from birth defects.
For children ages 1–14, drowning is the second leading cause of unintentional death after car accidents.
