Boy, 9, dies after emergency services called to address in Newport

A nine-year-old boy has died after emergency services were called to an address in Newport. Gwent Police received a report of a medical emergency at an address in Ringland Circle on Tuesday evening.

Officers attended along with Welsh Ambulance Service personnel and a nine-year-old boy was confirmed to have died. It is understood his death is not being treated as suspicious. Ringland Circle had been closed last night near St Gabriel's RC Primary School.

A Gwent Police spokesperson said: "We received a report of a medical emergency at an address in Ringland Circle at about 6pm on Tuesday, June 20. Officers attended, along with personnel from the Welsh Ambulance Service, who confirmed the death of a nine-year-old boy."
