A six-year-old boy has been airlifted to hospital after being swept out to sea in North Wales.
The little boy was found face down in the water and unconscious by a hero builder, who swam out to rescue him.
Sam McKeeder, a builder from Towyn, was able to turn the boy around, and bring him back to shore, North Wales Live reports.
The boy had come off his inflatable white swan and was not conscious, the hero granddad said.
The 57-year-old managed to turn the boy around.
Mr McKeeder said: “He was totally unconscious, I turned him around and patted him on his back and then a lot of water and sick came up, and he started breathing again.”
The coastguard helicopter and ambulance service were called to Black Rock Sands shortly after 2.30pm.
The boy's alarmed dad called 999 and was told by the Coastguard to stay at the shore.
Mr McKeever assisted the boy back to shore, where paramedics were waiting for him, and he was given oxygen.
He was then airlifted by the Coastguard rescue helicopter to Ysbyty Gwynedd. His condition is unknown.
A spokesman for Holyhead Coastguard told North Wales Live: “I wish people would leave the inflatables at home as they are designed for swimming pool not for the sea.”
