Boy, 6, fighting for his life after he was knocked down in moped hit-and-run

A six-year-old boy has been left fighting for his life following a moped crash.

The child was hit by the moped in Harlington, West London, at around 8.15pm on Friday (July 9). He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.

The moped was travelling towards the High Street and failed to stop at the scene.

An image of a moped being ridden by two people has been released by the Metropolitan Police who are keen to identify the pair, reports MyLondon.

The force are also appealing for information from drivers who may have dashcam footage of the incident.

Officers are particularly keen to speak with drivers who were in Sipson Lane, where the crash took place, from 8pm onwards.

No arrests have been made.

The investigation is being led by the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
