A five-year-old boy was hit by a car in Bootle and is now in hospital.
The emergency services were called out to Stanley Road at around 6.15pm yesterday ( Sunday) following reports of a "collision" involving a boy, 5, and a Ford Ka.
The boy, who suffered minor injuries, was taken to hospital.
The driver stopped at the scene after the accident.
A police spokesman said to the ECHO : "We were called to Stanley Road at 6.15pm yesterday (Sunday) following reports of a slight injury RTC involving a five year-old boy and a Ford Ka. The boy suffered minor injuries but was taken to hospital as a precaution. The driver of the car stopped at the scene."
