Boy, 4, left fighting for his life after being knocked down by car as he crossed road

A four-year-old boy has been left fighting for his life after being knocked down by car as he crossed road.

West Yorkshire Police say that the boy ran into the road in Bradford on Sunday afternoon and was hit by a Vauxhall Corsa.

He was taken to hospital with serious, life-threatening head injuries.

Police are now appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to contact them.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Officers are appealing for witnesses after a child was seriously injured following a road traffic collision in Bradford.

"Emergency services were called to Thornhill Place, Bradford, at around 2.20pm yesterday afternoon (November 7), when it is reported that a four-year-old boy ran across the road and was struck by a vehicle, a Vauxhall Corsa.

An air ambulance was called to the scene after the boy was hit (YappApp)

"The young boy was taken to hospital with serious head injuries, and his condition described as life-threatening.

"Police are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed or who has dashcam footage regarding this incident to contact 101, quoting reference number 13210573654."
