Boy, 4, found wandering alone 'in onesie' next to busy dual carriageway at 6am

A four-year-old boy was found wandering next to a busy dual carriageway 'wearing just a onesie' shortly before 6am this morning.

One woman claimed the child had also been seen just under a mile away from where it was eventually found in Swansea.

The eyewitness told Wales Online: "A young child was found wandering around in his onesie this morning around 6am having crossed Carmarthen Road.

"Three drivers passing by stopped to aid the child and call police.

"One witness said the child had previously been seen in Middle Road/Maes Y Felin.

"Two police vans and a car attended the scene and the boy was taken to safety. Hope the child and parents are reunited soon."

South Wales Police confirmed the child had gone missing but had been located safe and well.

A spokeswoman for South Wales Police said: "We received a call to a report of a four-year-old missing child at 5.55am this morning.

"Within two minutes of receiving the call the child was located safe and well in Carmarthen Road and returned home."
