A three-year-old boy was taken to hospital after being hit by a car.
Merseyside Police received reports just after 4.05pm that a boy had been hit by a car on Emery Street in Walton.
Emergency services arrived at the scene and took the injured boy to Alder Hey Children's Hospital.

It's not known at this stage the seriousness of the boy's injuries.
Police had cordoned off the scene following the incident on Emery Street but the road is now back open to traffic.
The ECHO has contacted North West Ambulance Service and Merseyside Police for an update on the boy's condition.
