Boy, 17, taken to hospital after being stabbed in the street in broad daylight in Reddish

A boy was taken to hospital after being stabbed in the street in broad daylight in Reddish.

Police were called to reports of a stabbing on Longford West Road, at the junction with Ruskin Road, at around 4.30pm on Saturday, July 11.

A 17-year-old boy was stabbed in the shoulder in the street.

He was taken to hospital with a non-life threatening injury and has since been discharged.

The incident was 'isolated', the MEN understands.

A police cordon was in place on Saturday while officers carried out enquiries.

A number of police vehicles were pictured at the scene and police tape was blocking off Ruskin Road.
