Boy, 17, shot in Englewood

A teenage boy was wounded in a shooting Friday in Englewood on the South Side.

The 17-year-old was standing outside at 12:13 a.m. on Ada Street when a male approached him from behind and fired shots, according to Chicago police.

The boy was hit in the leg and driven to St. Bernard Hospital, police said. He was transferred to Stroger Hospital in good condition.

No one is in custody as Area One detectives investigate.
