Boy, 17, shot in Burnside

A 17-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting Monday in Burnside on the South Side.

He was on the sidewalk about 10 p.m. in the 500 block of East 92nd Street when someone fired shots from a black sedan, Chicago police said.

The teen was struck in the torso and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition, police said.

Area Two detectives are investigating.
