A teenage boy has been held without bail after being charged as an adult in connection with a fatal shooting in Pilsen on Halloween.
Demarcos Crowder, 17, was charged with first-degree murder for the shooting of Aaron Smith, 36, the Cook County state’s attorney’s office said.
Crowder allegedly shot Smith about 11:23 p.m. Oct. 31 after getting into an argument in the 1600 block of South Allport Street, Chicago police and county prosecutors said.
Crowder was ordered held without bail Saturday, prosecutors said. He will appear in front of a judge again on Monday.
