Boy, 17, charged after two teenagers stabbed

A boy has been charged after a double stabbing at a property which left a 16-year-old girl and another teenager, 18, with serious knife wounds.

The targeted violence broke out last Wednesday inside an address in Skelmersdale, leading to the teens being rushed to hospital.

The girl, 16, was stabbed in the leg and the slightly older victim, an 18-year-old man, suffered stab wounds to his abdomen.

Officers attended the incident on Thurston, which happened at about midday, as the teens who were hurt were later described as "stable" at Aintree Hospital.

Both are now understood to have been discharged, Lancashire Police said.
