A teen was wounded in a drive-by Sunday in Little Village on the Southwest Side.

The 16-year-old boy was walking about 8:27 a.m. in the 3000 block of South Tripp Avenue when a male in a passing red sedan opened fire, Chicago police said.

The boy was struck in the hip and arm, and his condition was stabilized at Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.

No arrests have been made as Area Central detectives investigate.

A few hours earlier, a 17-year-old boy was hurt in a separate shooting a few blocks away.
