A 16-year-old boy was shot to death Wednesday in northwest Indiana.
Authorities were dispatched about 6:15 p.m. to 51st and Maryland Street in Gary and found Johnny Peluyera suffering from a gunshot wound, according to the Lake County Coroner’s office.
He was pronounced dead about a half hour later, the coroner’s office said. His death was ruled a homicide.
Gary police did not immediately respond to a request for details.
