Boy, 16, shot in West Garfield Park

A teen was injured in a shooting Wednesday in West Garfield Park on the West Side.

The 16-year-old boy was walking on a sidewalk at 3:22 p.m. on Lake Street when he heard shots and realized he was hit in the left calf, according to Chicago police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said.

No one is in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
