Boy, 16, shot in Fernwood

The boy’s condition was stabilized at Roseland Community Hospital.

A 16-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting Friday in Fernwood on the South Side.

About 12:36 a.m., he was walking in the 200 block of West 103rd Street when he heard gunfire and felt pain, Chicago police said.

He was taken to Roseland Community Hospital with a gunshot wound to the knee, police said. His condition was stabilized.

No one is in custody as Area South detectives investigate.
