A 16-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting Wednesday in West Garfield Park.

He was on a sidewalk about 9:24 p.m. in the 4100 block of West Adams Street when someone unleashed gunfire, Chicago police said.

The teen was hit in the shoulder and took himself to Rush University Medical Center, police said. His condition was stabilized.

No arrests have been reported. Area North detectives are investigating.

In April, a 16-year-old boy was shot and killed on the same block.
