A 16-year-old boy with no documented mental health problems was found dead at his home, an inquest ruled today.
Quynh Thai Nguyen was discovered in his hallway after police received a 999 telephone call from his sister informing them of the tragedy.
Officers went to the address on Sandy Lane in Walton where the teenager had been found at about 11.45am on October 25, last year.
Toxicology tests confirmed no drugs had been taken by Quynh, and police decided there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.

No note was left at the address which the 16-year-old shared with his mum and eight siblings.
The Vietnamese teenager, who was identified by his brother, had no registered mental health problems or involvement with mental health services.
Quynh, whose parents - Quoc Minh Nguyen and Tructhi Thu Le - were both nail technicians, lived at the north Liverpool home with his family.
The teen had moved from Leeds, where he was born, 12 months earlier so the family could live close to his uncle and aunt, who resided five doors away on the same street.
After Quynh's death a Serious Case Review was launched due to "poor recording sharing between his school and medical services."
But no further action was taken.
Police were unable to access the boy's mobile phone to check if there were any messages, calls or website use which might have indicated his state of mind at the time.
The inquest was heard today at Liverpool Coroner's Court where a verdict of suicide was recorded.

Coroner Anita Bhardwaj said it was unclear if Quynh had "thought through the consequences of his actions."
She added: "On the balance of probability, it more likely than not, his actions were carried out with the intention of taking his own life.
"Can I offer sincere condolences to the family at this extremely difficult time for them."
No relatives attended today's hearing.
