A 16-year-old boy has died after a horror crash in the Highlands.
The male was involved in a collision on the A9 at around 6.55pm last night.
The three-vehicle crash, involving a white Nissan Juke, a red Vauxhall Corsa and a blue VW Polo, occurred at the junction of the B9161 to Munlochy.
The driver of the VW Polo and passenger of the Vauxhall Corsa were taken to Raigmore Hospital as a result of the crash .
Sadly, the 16-year-old male passenger of the Vauxhall Corsa died as a result of his injuries.
Sergeant Angus Murray , of the Dingwall Road Policing Unit, said: “We are supporting the young man’s family at this time and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash.
“I would encourage anyone who may have seen what happened to contact us.
"I would also ask if there are drivers with dash-cam footage which might help with our investigation to call us.
