Boy, 16, critical after London stabbing as chilling pics show 'Rambo-style' knife

A teenager is fighting for life after being stabbed in broad daylight on a leafy North London street.

The 16-year-old was attacked in upmarket Highgate at about 4pm today in the last knife incident to rock the capital.

Chilling scene pictures show a "Rambo-style" knife discarded on the street.

The news comes after a teenager was stabbed to death in Coventry earlier today.

Forensic officers are now scouring the scene for evidence in the North Hill area.

A black Mercedes with its hazard lights flashing was also being inspected but it is not clear if this is connected.

A member of the public tweeted: "Stabbing this evening on North Hill area Highgate. Car believed to be involved now being investigated in Broadlands Close N6."

Scotland Yard said: "He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.

"His condition has been assessed as life-threatening."

No arrests have been made and an investigation has been launched.

A teenager was found stabbed to death on grassland in the Coventry incident by a walker.

Murder detectives are trying to trace anyone who saw disorder or anything suspicious in the Petitor Crescent area.
