Boy, 16, charged with murder over fatal stabbing of Clinton Evbota in Camberwell

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with murder over the fatal stabbing of 18-year-old Clinton Evbota.

The teenager from Camberwell, south London, was arrested on Tuesday morning, on suspicion of murder.

He will appear at Bromley Youth Court on Thursday December 5.

Police were called at 8:21pm on October 10 to a stabbing on the Brandon Estate in Camberwell.

Officers attended and found Clinton suffering stab injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:14pm.

A post-mortem examination gave the cause of death as multiple stab wounds.

Seven other males – aged between 14 and 18 years old – have been arrested as part of the investigation into Clinton’s murder.

A 14-year-old boy has since been released with no further action. The other six have been bailed pending further enquiries.

Anyone who can assist the investigation team is asked to call 101 quoting CAD 7532/10Oct19.
