Boy, 16, charged with murder over fatal stabbing in Bermondsey last summer

A teenage boy has been charged with murder over the fatal stabbing of a man in Bermondsey last summer.

The 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested and charged on Wednesday by detectives investigating the murder of a 23-year-old Joshua Boadu, the Metropolitan Police said.

Mr Boadu is believed to have been injured in a fight involving several men outside Helen Taylor House in Lucey Way.

He died from stab wounds after seeking help while at a home on June 11 last year.

The victim was taken to hospital but died on June 18.

Another man, Denilson Davis, 20, of Hemel Hempstead, was charged on September 28 last year.

He remains in custody awaiting trial.

The teenager will appear in custody at Croydon Youth Court on Thursday.

No further action was taken against a 17-year-old boy arrested on suspicion of murder on September 27, 2018.
