A 16-year-old boy faces an attempted murder charge in connection to a December robbery in Norwood Park where another teen was stabbed.

The boy and another male allegedly arranged through social media to meet the teen to buy something from him in the 5100 block of North Montclare Avenue, Chicago police said.

On Dec. 18, the pair met the 17-year-old boy on a sidewalk and stabbed him in the chest and armpit before stealing his money and property, police said.

The boy was taken to Lutheran General Hospital in serious condition.

A 16-year-old boy allegedly involved in the robbery was arrested and charged with a felony count each of attempted murder, armed robbery and aggravated battery, police said. His name was not released because he’s a juvenile.

The other suspect, described as a male between 17 and 20 years old, has not been arrested, police said.
