Boy, 16, battered by two men who stole his scooter

A teenager is in hospital after being beaten up by two men who made off with his moped scooter.

Merseyside Police were called to reports of a 16-year-old boy being assaulted near the junction of Caldway Drive and Middlemass Hey in Netherley on Friday, June 25.

The teenager WAS at a bus stop near the junction with a friend when he was approached by two men who began speaking to them.

The 16-year-old was then assaulted and his scooter stolen.

One of the men was riding a Voi scooter and after the assault the pair made off with both the motor and Voi scooters.

The teenager was taken to hospital for treatment for facial injuries.

An investigation is underway and CCTV and witness enquiries are being carried out in the local area.
