Police have arrested a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed in the head.
A man in his 20s was found with injuries to the head and body after the incident, which took place in Leyland at around 7.30pm on April 21. He was taken to hospital and his condition is described as "serious".
The attack reportedly took place near to the Spar shop on Leyland Lane. Police have arrested an 18-year-old male from Leyland on suspicion of attempted murder, who remains in custody for questioning.

Officers have now made a further arrest after a 16-year-old boy from Bootle has also been detained on suspicion of attempted murder A force spokesperson told LancsLive the boy also remains in custody.
They said: "The 18-year-old remains in custody for query. A 16-year-old boy from Bootle has now also been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He too remains in custody."
The force's initial statement issued on April 22 said: "We were called to Leyland Lane, Leyland, at 7.38pm yesterday (April 21) to reports of a stabbing. Emergency services have attended and found a man in his 20s with injuries to the head and body.
"He has been taken to hospital where his condition is described as serious. An 18-year-old man from Leyland has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in custody.
"This is being treated as an isolated incident. Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting log 1321 of April 21, 2023."
