A teenage boy was taken to hospital with stab wounds after a fight broke out in Piccadilly Gardens.
Police were called to reports of fighting in Manchester city centre at around 9.15pm last night (Friday, January 10).
Officers attended and found a 15-year-old boy had been stabbed.
He was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged, GMP say.
Enquiries remain ongoing at this stage.
A large police cordon was in place last night with GMP, the Tactical Aid Unit and North West West Ambulance Service attending at the scene.

An area in front of the Morrisons store near Oldham Street was taped off.
Passers-by said officers were turning them away from the cordon.

A GMP spokesperson said: "Police were called shortly after 9:15pm on Friday 10 January 2020 to a report of fighting at Piccadilly Gardens, Manchester.

"Emergency services attended and a 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital for treatment for stab wounds.
"He has since been discharged
"Enquiries remain ongoing."
