Boy, 15, shot in Woodlawn

A teenage boy was shot Thursday in Woodlawn on the South Side.

The boy, 15, was walking north about 6:25 p.m. in the 6200 block of South Eberhart Avenue when someone wearing all black approached him and fired shots, Chicago police said.

The boy was struck in the arm and hand, police said. His family took him to the University of Illinois Hospital, where he was stabilized.

The shooter fled in an unknown direction, police said.

Area Central detectives are investigating.
