A 15-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting Monday in Longwood Manor on the South Side.

He was in an alley in the 9500 block of South Yale Avenue about 7:05 p.m. when someone approached him and fired shots, Chicago police said.

The boy was struck once in the leg and hand, and was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said. His condition had stabilized.

No arrests have been made, police said.

By Monday evening, at least 36 people had been shot — seven of them fatally — within Chicago over the extended Labor Day weekend.
