Boy, 15, killed in West Englewood shooting

The boy, 15, was shot in the upper back and rushed to Comer Children’s Hospital where he later died, police said.

A 15-year-old boy was killed Saturday in a shooting in West Englewood.

Shortly after 8 p.m., the boy was standing in the street in the 2300 block of West 68th Street when he was shot in the upper back, according to Chicago police.

He was rushed to Comer Children’s Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

Area Central detectives are investigating the shooting.
