Boy, 15, held after Bootle counter terrorism raid

A 15-year-old boy was held in a terrorism probe.

The child was arrested following a raid yesterday at an address in Bootle, as part of an operation between Counter Terrorism Police North West and Merseyside Police.

The teenager was questioned and later charged with two counts of possessing a record of information of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism.

He cannot be named for legal reasons.

The teen appeared at Westminster Magistrates court today via video link and has been remanded in custody until July 16.
