A teenage boy was found with a 13-inch kitchen knife hidden in his underwear.
Police said the knife was taken off the teenager on the Metrolink in Manchester. It was found hidden in his pants.
Officers said his family were 'shocked when they got the call from custody'. Police posted about the incident on the GMP City Centre Facebook page.

The post said: "Another knife taken off the streets by #GMPTransportUnit staff at Manchester #MCRMetrolink as part of #OpSceptre . This time it's a 15yr old kid with a 13 inch kitchen knife hidden in his underwear.
"Family were shocked when they got the call from Custody. #GMPTransportUnit"
