A 15-year-old boy was shot and killed Sunday in south suburban Chicago Heights.

Omarion Williams was shot about 12:30 p.m. in the 400 block of West 16th Street, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting about 12:34 p.m. and found the boy with gunshot wounds to his upper body, Chicago Heights police said.

He was pronounced dead about an hour later at Franciscan Health Hospital Olympia Fields, the medical examiner’s office said.

Autopsy results released Monday found Williams died of multiple gunshot wounds and ruled his death a homicide, the medical examiner’s office said.
