Boy, 15, charged after man left with severe stomach wound in 'serious' Stapleton Road assault

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested after a man was left with a severe injury to his stomach in a serious assault in east Bristol.

The man was attacked on Stapleton Road in Easton, between the junctions with St Mark's Road and Fishponds Road, on Tuesday, March 19.

The incident happened between 10.45pm and 10.55pm.

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with grievous bodily harm and possession of a bladed article.

The boy - who cannot be named for legal reasons - is due to appear at Bristol Crown Court on April 15.

In a statement, Avon and Somerset Police said: "A 15-year-old boy has been charged with GBH and possession of a bladed article after a serious assault on Stapleton Road.

"A man suffered a serious wound to his abdomen.
