A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting two police officers in Moss Side.
Police say the masked 15-year-old was riding a stolen moped when he was stopped by a patrol car on Claremont Road on Monday.
The youngster, who wasn't wearing a helmet, was also arrested on suspicion of theft and possession of cannabis.
GMP Longsight & Moss Side , sharing a picture of the moped and drugs on Facebook, said: "A-15-year old has been arrested today on suspicion of assaulting two police officers on Claremont Road.
"A patrol stopped him after seeing him riding a stolen moped.
"He's also been arrested on suspicion of theft and possession of cannabis too.
"He clearly thought going around with a balaclava on and with stolen number plates wouldn't attract attention..."
