Boy, 15, arrested for Class A drug offences and knifepoint robbery of another teen

A teenage boy was arrested for Class A drug offences and an aggressive knifepoint robbery of another teen.

The 15-year-old from Tranmere was picked up by police following an incident that happened at around 8.20pm in Birkenhead on Tuesday, June 18.

It is believed that  the 17-year-old victim was walking along Agnes Road before he was followed by two unknown males, who had been sitting on a bench as he walked past.

The males produced knives and made threats to the victim, before making demands for his phone.

They took the phone from the victim and made off in the direction of Sidney Road.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "Following enquiries, a 15-year-old boy from Tranmere was arrested on suspicion of robbery and possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

"He has been conditionally bailed to a later date pending further enquiries."

Enquiries continue and anyone with information can contact @MerPolCC, call 101 with reference 19100319456, or @CrimestoppersUK anonymously on 0800 555 111.
