Boy, 14, stabbed in Glasgow's King's Park after teen brawl

A 14-year-old boy has been stabbed after a group of youths were involved in a brawl in Glasgow.

We told how emergency crews scrambled to King's Park in the city's south side at around 3.30pm on Friday.

The teen was found seriously injured with 'stab wounds'.

He was raced to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow.

Medics describe his condition as serious but stable.

Police confirmed the incident earlier on Friday evening.

They have now revealed details of what happened.

Enquiries are ongoing and cops are urging any witnesses or those with information on the incident to come forward.

A spokesperson said: "At around 3.40pm on Friday, February 12, police were called to a report of a 14-year-old boy found seriously injured following an altercation with a group of youths in Kings Park.

"Emergency services attended and the victim was taken the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow for treatment to stab wounds.

"Medical staff describe his condition as serious but stable.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland through 101, quoting incident number 2036 of Friday, 12 February, 2021.

"Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
